Based in Raveningham, Norfolk, HAT is the largest archive of UK brand communication with collections that include around 500,000 broadcast quality commercials. For Ad-Memoire, HAT are gathering vintage TV ads from the 50s to the 70s into an ever-growing selection of themed reels such as ‘Sweets & Chocolates’, ‘Breakfast’ and ‘Motoring’ to be enjoyed by older relatives and prompt conversation between the generations about the things they remember. The app has already had a successful impact in Care Homes and Hospitals across Norfolk and, at Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, patients with dementia have felt “empowered” by the memories that resurface. Now, a new ‘One to One’ subscription is making the app accessible to more people by providing support for individuals at home.
