We’ve got so many amazing women across Norfolk doing incredible things so we’re celebrating them across the month of March. We also have our own inspirational women who work within Norfolk Chambers of Commerce, and we're shining the light on them too. Amy Wright, is The Energiser and our Events Account Manager.
What one piece of career advice would you give to the 20year-old you?
Always give every opportunity a try. I have learned that you need to go out there and try everything out there to widen your skills and knowledge.
Who is your female role model?
Karren Brady
What was your career goal when you were young?
To help people within the community either become police officer, or run a business that helps grow and support the community. I am very much a people person and want to help as much I can.
What’s your biggest career achievement to date?
To run a successful big flagship event for The Norfolk Chambers of Commerce within the first 3 months of my role! It certainly brought my confidence back to life after the journey I had within previous job roles.
What have your biggest challenges been as a woman in business? Not having your voice heard is the biggest challenge. It's difficult when you are working hard in the background, particularly on admin, the day-to-day running and progressing your skills set, to be visible for promotion, particularly in a male-dominated sector.
