At East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) we care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions throughout Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk and support their families. We have three hospices across East Anglia – The Nook in Norfolk, The Treehouse in Ipswich and one in Milton, Cambridge.
Our family-centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies, care at end of life, bereavement support, counselling and volunteer services in the home; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.
Our care is vital for families like Annabel’s. After Annabel sadly died in June 2020, the family went to stay at The Nook for the next 48 hours. Dad Gary says “Going there for those two days probably saved my life. I really didn’t want to go home after Annabel passed. Because we left for the hospital in such a rush everything was just left – her bed was literally as we’d left it and I didn’t know how I would cope with that. But Amy talked us through everything”
