Norfolk Day: Let’s Celebrate! SaxonAir Success
The impact of the last year has been felt by many and unfortunately, SaxonAir is no exception. However, throughout these difficulties we have strived to continue to grow and expand what we do and how we do it. So, whilst this year has been a challenging one, there has also been much to celebrate.
The Green Goal
Previously we announced we would be taking steps to achieve our goal of being carbon neutral by 2025 and recently we took a big step towards achieving this. We have partnered with GoneWest to offset all emissions from our flights. For the first quarter of 2021 we offset with their ‘acorns to oaks’ scheme in collaboration with the Prince’s trust to plant 4 trees in the UK for every tonne of carbon emitted, the scheme also plants trees abroad and invests in the Prince’s trust ‘young person relief fund’ helping young people into employment. We are so pleased to be part of this initiative to help battle the climate crisis and make Norfolk a more sustainable and eco-conscious county to live in.
Bringing Back The Fun
Recently we have re-introduced our pleasure flying tours. This is an extremely exciting service we are delighted to have brought back. People can now enjoy the beautiful landscape of Norfolk, such as our stunning coastlines and the Norfolk broads, straight from the comfort of our luxurious, state-of-the art H125 Helicopter. We’re excited to be able to offer this to those in Norfolk but also those who live further afield, giving them the chance to experience the beauty that the Norfolk landscape beholds.
It’s not just our fleet that is making a difference and bringing exciting ventures to our business, our Business Aviation Centre is now ProTrainings approved. With this, we are proud to have launched a variety of health and wellbeing training courses across our centre, offering day training sessions for businesses in all sectors at SaxonAir Headquarters. Allowing the businesses of Norfolk to expand their knowledge and skills when it comes to mental health and first aid.
Collectively these achievements are all worth celebrating. From helping Norfolk to be a little greener, offering once in a lifetime opportunities, and working with our community to offer training sessions, we love Norfolk and are proud to be celebrating our collective success this Norfolk day!
